Thick-cut strips of pork belly, cut into generous portions and ready for your oven. From native breed pigs, reared slowly and properly free range, this is belly with enough fat marbled through the meat to reward a long, slow cook, and a good depth of skin for proper crackling.
Score the skin well before you start, rub it with salt and a little oil, then roast to let the fat render down soft. Turn the heat right up for the final stretch to blister the skin into crackling. Rest it for ten minutes before slicing, then serve alongside a sharp apple sauce, or shred it through a salad with something acidic to cut the richness.
Each portion is a generous single serving, hearty enough to hold its own on a plate or to stretch further alongside good sides. It's proof that a native breed pig, given time to grow properly, produces belly worth the wait in the oven.
We offer Next Day Delivery on orders placed by 1pm Monday to Thursday (excluding Highlands & Islands postcodes). During busy periods such as Christmas and Easter, cut-off times and lead times may change.
All of our meat is delivered frozen, ready to go straight into your freezer. Once defrosted, it can be stored in the fridge and enjoyed within three days.
Our ambient goods can be safely stored in a cool, dark place.
All dairy products should be kept refrigerated and used before the best before date shown on the packaging.
