Our Whole Christmas Geese are delivered fresh ready to be enjoyed for the big day.
Goose is a wonderful choice for a traditional Christmas meal. Few things feel more celebratory than a plump Christmas goose served with golden, crisp roast potatoes cooked in its own rich fat.
Our slowly grown, properly free range whole goose has a deep, full flavour and naturally buttery fat that makes for an indulgent festive centrepiece.
We offer Next Day Delivery on orders placed by 1pm Monday to Thursday (excluding Highlands & Islands postcodes). During busy periods such as Christmas and Easter, cut-off times and lead times may change.
All of our meat is delivered frozen, ready to go straight into your freezer. Once defrosted, it can be stored in the fridge and enjoyed within three days.
Our ambient goods can be safely stored in a cool, dark place.
All dairy products should be kept refrigerated and used before the best before date shown on the packaging.
Goose carries more fat than most poultry, which naturally bastes the meat as it renders during roasting. Prick the skin to help the fat escape, then roast at medium heat for around twenty minutes per kilogram plus twenty minutes. As with duck, check the thigh reaches 70°C rather than relying on time alone, goose varies more in shape and fat coverage than most birds. Rest for fifteen to twenty minutes before carving, and keep the rendered fat, it's worth having.
