Product details

Versatile diced native breed pork from slow-reared British pigs, the right cut for slow-cooked stews, Cantonese braises, and anything that benefits from pork with genuine character.

Diced pork from native breed British pigs is a genuinely useful kitchen ingredient, the kind of thing you want in the fridge for weeknight cooking that needs to taste like more effort went in. The natural fat content of native breed pigs means the meat stays moist through long cooking rather than drying out, which is the key to a good pork stew. For a simple weeknight supper, brown the dice in batches until properly coloured, add onions, garlic, apple, and cider, and simmer slowly for 45 minutes until the pork is tender and the sauce has reduced and thickened. A spoonful of mustard and a handful of fresh thyme at the end turns it into something genuinely satisfying. The same dice works brilliantly in a slow-cooked Chinese-style braised pork dish with soy, star anise, and Shaoxing wine, where the fat slowly breaks down into the sauce over 2–3 hours. Sold in 250g packs, enough for two people.

Pork Shoulder

We cooked the rolled pork shoulder last Sunday and it was outstanding. Proper crackling, rich flavour and no watery mess in the tray. You can really taste the difference in how the animals are raised.

Slow Grown Whole Chicken

The chicken was full of flavour and roasted evenly. Nothing pumped or artificial about it. Just proper, honest food and a world away from supermarket birds.
