Warm, fragrant organic cinnamon powder from Steenbergs, ground from certified organic quills for a sweet, gently spiced depth that works in both cooking and baking.
There's a meaningful difference between cassia, the cheap, sharper substitute, and true cinnamon, and Steenbergs' organic version uses the real thing: certified organic Ceylon cinnamon, ground fresh to preserve the delicate, warm sweetness that makes it so beloved in both sweet and savoury cooking. In baking, it's straightforward, stir into an apple crumble topping with nutmeg, brown sugar, and butter; fold through a spiced banana bread; or layer into cinnamon rolls where a good powder makes all the difference to the swirl. In savoury cooking, it earns its place more subtly: a pinch in a Moroccan lamb tagine alongside cumin and preserved lemon adds a background warmth that you'd notice by its absence.
